Driven from historic neglect and a need to empower women with credible data and insights about their bodies, the Femtech industry has started to transform the way society views female health. However, there are unique legal, entrepreneurial, and ethical challenges that stand in the way of successful, long-term women's health innovation. This presentation explores the burgeoning Femtech industry, how it can revolutionize women's health, and what we need to do to push past the barriers to innovation. About the Speaker: Bethany Corbin is a healthcare innovation and Femtech attorney, on a mission to help thought-leading companies revolutionize the global women’s health sector. She is the founder of FemInnovation, which helps founders, clinicians, politicians, and advocates transform and disrupt “standard” care delivery for women’s health through specially tailored legal and educational programs, thought leadership, and advocacy. Bethany is a recognized leader at the intersection of women’s health, law, and technology, and was named a Top 200 Trailblazing Leader in Women’s Health and Femtech by Women of Wearables. Her strategic insights have been featured in top news outlets, including Forbes, Fortune, BBC, NPR, Buzzfeed, The Atlantic, VICE, Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue, and more. Bethany has testified about the importance of data privacy for reproductive health before the Maryland Cybersecurity Council’s Ad Hoc Committee on Consumer Privacy and is an Advisory Board Member for Kisaco Research’s Women’s Health Innovation conference series. Mitzi Krockover, M.D., is an internist and leader in women’s health through her work in investment, consulting, media and entrepreneurship. As CEO and founder of Woman Centered, LLC, she launched the Beyond the Paper Gown podcast and community, which informs, inspires and engages women to achieve optimal health. Dr. Krockover is a Managing Director of Golden Seeds, an angel investment organization dedicated to funding early-stage women-led companies; she serves as co-chair of the Golden Seeds Health Care Sector Group and is a founding member and co-leader of the Arizona Chapter of Golden Seeds. She is also a partner at SSB Solutions, a healthcare management consulting, development, and investment firm. ﻿Previously, Dr. Krockover was the founding Medical Director of the Iris Cantor-UCLA Women’s Health Center and Vice President of Women’s Health for Humana Inc. Her non-profit activities include serving as President of the Board of the Institute for Mental Health Research, as a board member of the Black Women’s Health Imperative, and as a member of the Women’s Health Innovation Council of Springboard Enterprises. Honors include Arizona’s 48 Most Amazing Women, LA County Commission on Women “Woman of the Year,” and Korn Ferry’s International Emerging Leaders in Health Care. Dr. Krockover is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, received her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed her medical residency at Northwestern University.

Denise worked with Audra McDonald on her fourth Tony Award winning performance for Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess on Broadway, and was Zoe Saldana's Dialect Coach in the feature film based on the life of Nina Simone. Her dialect coaching talents can also be heard in the 20th Century Fox film, Hidden Figures, starring Taraji P.
