Each session, Ryan will interview a web3 founder that has recently raised VC funding. We will focus on the entrepreneur's experience, learning through both the highs and lows of their journey, while also highlighting the innovative business they are building. About the Speaker: Ryan Shelton&nbsp;is CTO and co-founder of&nbsp;<a href="https://photoni.care/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" style="color: rgb(106, 106, 142);">PhotoniCare</a>, a medical device company that helps clinicians see into the middle ear to improve diagnosis and treatment of chronic ear diseases. He led the company when he was CEO raising ~$20M in funding to advance the company’s objectives. He is also a co-founder of Flowfeed, a predictive analytics platform that uses a combination of hardware and software to give cyclists more actionable information about when and where to ride. Dr. Shelton received a PhD in Bioengineering from Texas A&amp;M University in 2012. He has won multiple awards for entrepreneurial and technical achievement and has been in the web3 space for nearly two years as a collector, trader, and aspirational builder. Pete Townsend joined Techstars in 2021 to lead Techstars' first chain-agnostic web3 accelerator program, investing in and advising entrepreneurs building in web3 and enabling the next wave of growth in the decentralized internet and in tokenized economies. Based in Dublin, Ireland, he has been helping early-stage ventures in fintech, crypto and blockchain get their products to market, get traction with customers and raise funding since 2016. Peta has 25+ years’ global experience in financial services at the startup and enterprise-level with companies such as BNP Paribas, Fidelity Investments, Coinbase, and 25+ startups across Ireland, the UK, Continental Europe and the USA. He is also the co-host of MoneyNeverSleeps, an Ireland top 20 weekly podcast that looks inside the minds of entrepreneurs and at the crossover of startups, enterprise, finance, technology and life as we know it.

With over 20 years of finance and product experience, Sanjay has an extensive background consulting, developing, and founding several financial companies. Prior to Sanjay’s current role at Roofstock, he was the Co-creator and GM of Roofstock One, an innovative, transparent rental investment platform that allows accredited investors to get targeted exposure to the economics of curated SFR properties. ﻿Before joining Roofstock, Sanjay served as a Product Manager at Renew Financial and Director of Carolina Financial Group LLC.
